1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

Browsing data. The site is hosted on Netlify. Like most web services, the hosting provider automatically logs some technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) necessary for the site to function securely. This data is processed in aggregate form and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Data you provide voluntarily. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect the email address (and possibly the name) you provide, for the sole purpose of sending you updates about the project. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by writing to the contact address.

No data from children. The site presents an editorial project aimed at readers aged 7 to 12, but it is designed to be browsed by parents, teachers and responsible adults: we do not intentionally collect personal data from children, and the site does not require creating an account.

3. Purposes and legal basis for processing

Technical browsing data is processed on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the site functions correctly and securely. The email address provided for the newsletter is processed on the basis of the consent freely given at the time of subscription, which may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Data retention

Browsing data is retained for as long as is technically necessary, and in any case no longer than provided for in the hosting provider's policies. The email address provided for the newsletter is retained until consent is withdrawn (unsubscription) or, absent withdrawal, for as long as necessary to pursue the project's informational purpose.

5. Disclosure and transfer of data

Technical browsing data may be processed by the hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.), which may operate outside the European Economic Area; in that case, the transfer takes place on the basis of the appropriate safeguards provided for by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

6. External resources

To display typefaces, the site loads certain fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). This involves transmitting the visitor's IP address to Google's servers when the page loads. No profiling cookies are set by this service.

7. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to ask the controller, at any time: to access your personal data, to rectify or erase it, to restrict processing concerning you, to object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent given at any time. You can exercise these rights by writing to the email address indicated in section 1.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. 8. Security

We adopt reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data collected against unauthorised access, loss or destruction.
